Aux Lights on a truck
11/07/11 at 22:11:48

I have figured out a mount that gets them low (they are Bosch 100W fogs), but they are still as high as the Hella's on my Subaru. This mount puts them out in front and they could get banged up so they will come off quickly.

Would I be better to flip them up over the bumper or leave them where they are?

Dave, Check out the link to what I did on my old truck and see if it would work for you. Where the original plate was I removed the plastic inserts and put in actual bolts so it would hold a little better.

ive had a par of hellas mounted pretty low on my bumper for almost a year now and they are fine. mind you they have the covers on them more often than not...

still, they've been put to the test in their location. I had to drive back from neige last year stuck right behind plow trucks for close to an hour. my bumper is stone chipped all to hell but the hellas are fine. and if i remember correctly the covers werent on them at that time.
