More chatter. Ross drove part of the route yesterday and has this to report:

"Roads at the moment are a mix of snow-covered with sand on top, open gravel, bare pavement and a mix of everything in between. It is hard to predict what it will be like by Saturday night. Lots of snowbanks still and lots of snow in the bush."

15 registered - surely there are more people out there who want to participate in this must-do rally.

Back to the discussion on starting order - maybe I'll just throw all the names in a hat and draw at random for start order. Grin

I think that we'll take anything other than Car 13 again.  That was NOT a good year.

Ross drove one of the more fun roads today - said it was perfect; a little covering of snow, no sand, no ice. Looks like the temperature won't be as high on Friday.

When I checked the route yesterday, there was one section of road - I won't name it, but it is a combination of cottage and forestry road - section is over 20 km in length and the entire thing was the most spectacular snow driving you could ever hope for with healthy snowbanks - pure snow - no ice, no sanding, no gravel. With the forecast as it is now, I cannot see how this piece of road will be any different on Saturday night. Drivers will love it.

Just talked with a contact in Bancroft who lives on the route - it's snowing there right now. Come on snow!

OK, my guess is West Eels for this one as well Wink

That or Spruce Lake...

Looking forward to it, prepping the car tonight!
