Lanark Highlands Rally Call for Workers
03/14/13 at 15:28:24

The 2013 Lanark Highlands Forest Rally will be held on May 3rd and 4th and we will again be using the Civitan Hall in the Village of Lanark as headquarters, the same location as last year. The competitive portion of the rally will take place as usual on Lavant Mill Road but will be one stage shorter than last year for a total of 6 stages.
The web site for the rally is http://www.lhfr.ca/

Mike Koch has taken over as Organizer and I have taken on the position of Chief Control Marshall.
We need lots of workers to successfully run the event. Many amateur radio operators, timing marshals, traffic control marshals and crowd control marshals will be required. We also need some help on Friday the 3rd to help with taping, signage, arrowing and recce. All volunteers will receive a hot meal after the rally and a T-shirt. We also have some great worker prizes that will be awarded by random draw.
Registration for workers is now available at http://lhfr.ca/workers.php

All rallies on the Ontario Performance Rally Championship (OPRC) calendar are reviewed by the regional governing body of the sport and competitors are required to submit their comments about events. From the very start, this event has met a very high standard as the number of entries has demonstrated.
We've also been very lucky in attracting dedicated volunteers, without whom the event could not take place. I sincerely hope that's because the rally has been a good day's fun for all of you, and we hope to see you back and to see some new people.
We couldn't do it without you.
If you know anyone who has never volunteered at a rally and is curious to know more, please feel free to pass along this information to them. To help newcomers, we produced two short videos about rally marshalling last year , which can be viewed at these links:

Please register on the web site asap. We are anticipating another great event for our 5th year in a row!

The 2013 Lanark Highlands Forest Rally is less than a month away (May 3rd and 4th) and we will again be using the Civitan Hall in the Village of Lanark as headquarters, the same location as last year. We have a good number of workers signed up but we still need more to successfully run the event. More amateur radio operators, timing marshals, traffic control marshals and crowd control marshals will be required. We also need some help on Friday the 3rd to help with taping, signage, arrowing and recce. All volunteers will receive a hot meal after the rally and a T-shirt.
