The wilds of North Hastings are calling you. Join us for the ultimate winter family adventure where fun, learning and discovery are paramount. Begin your adventure with an interpretive introduction to “The Land Between”, a diverse and rich mosaic of our region’s unique spaces, species and people. Once you have been familiarized with our story and our land, you will have an opportunity to build your family’s awareness of and connection to the natural world through a variety of hands-on wildlife and nature experiences: walk through an ancient forest and feel the history and beauty of our region surround you; visit an elk study area and interact with a new four-legged friend; run your finger along the outline of faraway stars and galaxies while gazing up at the sky at a night sky preserve on a clear, dark night; marvel at the many products of our land while on a tour of a fish hatchery or gem and mineral museum; and close your eyes and listen to the rhythmic clicking of horse hooves while taking an old-fashioned sleigh ride through majestic woods. You will also have an opportunity to take part in local community events, including a winter festival, dog sled races and a family fishing derby. Enjoy the wonders of the wild, and the warm hospitality of your hosts, in North Hastings – your home away from home with family and friends!
