Black Bear Final Call for Volunteers
The Seeded Draw for the 2014 Black Bear Rally was held last night. There were only 14 teams in the Draw – a very disappointing number; in fact the committee considered cancelling the event, however the decision was to move forward, so the show is definitely going on next weekend - July 12-13. We are hoping for a few more entries in the next week.
Meanwhile we are short about 10 volunteers to assure a smooth and safe event. Specifically we need HAM radio operators, stage timing (Start/Finish) helpers and stage security helpers (road & trail blockers).  The assistance is mainly required for Sunday when the competition will run, but volunteers for Saturday when course preparation, technical inspection etc. are going on would also be appreciated.
We can assist volunteers in finding accommodation, if that is a problem.
